OUR STORY
How Our Journey Began
The Years Before
For years, they lived parallel lives, moving through the same rooms, the same parties, the same circles, yet never quite colliding. It was as if something unseen kept pulling them close, only to gently keep them apart.
She was a social butterfly, always surrounded by friends as she lives away from her family, balancing long workdays with her love for cooking, baking, beauty gigs, and her faith. He was calm and quiet, drawn to sports, bikes, and cars. Different rhythms, somehow part of the same story.
From his side, he thought he knew her. Every now and then, he would pass a truck with her face printed on it and casually tell his friends, “I know her.” But he didn’t, not really. Just a name. Just a face. A stranger who somehow felt familiar.
She, on the other hand, had already accepted a life on her own. She poured herself into work, into her passions, and into her trips home to the Philippines, where she would quietly visit the Carmelite Monastery. Each time, she brought back rosaries to give away, believing they carried blessings.
The Night Everything Changed
Then one spring night, everything shifted.
She stepped outside in the middle of baking, clothes dusted with flour, completely unprepared. And there he was. No grand introduction. No real conversation. Just a brief hour in the same space.
Yet somehow, she knew.
That night, she messaged her mum and said, “I’ve met the man I’m going to marry.” It sounded impossible, almost crazy, but she was certain.
Time moved on. Seasons changed.
On her birthday, a single photo reposted by a mutual friend found its way to him. He searched for her, paused, then sent a simple message, “Happy birthday.”
And just like that, the silence of years disappeared.
Messages turned into conversations. Conversations turned into something undeniable. It all felt natural, as if it had been waiting for the right time.
